School Holiday Percussion Workshop at Newcastle Conservatorium of MusicLove making noise but want to learn to do it musically? Come join in for a fun and informative ground-up, immersive percussion experience in a relaxed group setting. Aimed at secondary students (Years 7 to 12), participants in this workshop will learn some basics of percussion instrument technique and terminology, develop rudimentary ensemble and musicianship skills, and take away a recording of their collaborative performance.
No prior experience is required, and all levels are welcome. Experienced drummers can expect to play alongside aspiring percussionists, with a unique and engaging experience guaranteed for all. Come along and make musical noise with others!
Please arrive at the Conservatorium from 8:30am for a 9:00am start. Please bring your own lunch and water bottle. The workshop will end at 1:15pm and will be followed by a short performance for parents and carers in the Concert Hall.
