About this Event
Come and experience an interactive workshop and an afternoon showcase of invigorating percussion works with performances on a wide range of instruments!
The workshop will run from 10-12pm for students from South Derbyshire Music Centre and members of the Junior and Senior Percussion Ensembles. Players will hone and develop their skills on the marimba, xylophone and vibraphone and also work together to learn a piece which will be performed in the afternoon concert. Workshop tickets are £10. (Please note, the workshop is free for existing Leicestershire Music ensemble members)
The concert is at 3pm and will feature ensemble performances from all groups as well as solo items showcasing the wide range of percussion instruments available. The afternoon will finish with a massed snare drum performance open to all!
Please note that students participating in the workshop and performing in the showcase do not require a ticket.
