Play Information:
TWO MINUTES AND COUNTING by Jennifer Pacey
As Sarah psyches herself up to enter the world of speed dating for the first time, she has no idea that her old work colleague, Joel, has been doing the same.
SARAH – 40’s to 50’s. Recent divorcee who is trying speed dating for the first time. (PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE HAS BEEN PRECAST)
JOEL – 40’s to 50’s. A widower who has tried speed dating before.

THE LEARNING CURVE by Jennifer Pacey
A government learning and development team has finally been assigned their very own training room. It may currently be used as a storeroom, but it won't take much to get it up and running, will it?
Will it?
ALEX – A somewhat overwhelmed manager of a government learning and
development team.
REESE - A senior member of the learning and development team who eagerly assists the manager. They are partial to an accessory, tie/scarf/brooch/badge, and every day has a new, more garish one.

ME TIME by Jennifer Pacey
While enjoying pamper day, three friends discuss the importance of “me time”. But with kids and a husband it is tricky. One needs to be organised, even creative, to get some.
BARBARA – 40-55 yrs, a woman who has been pushed and pulled by her kids and family for many years.
JEAN – 40-55 yrs, a self-appointed leader of their social group. Loves to give advice.
JANINE – 40-55 yrs, if there was a 2nd in command of the social group, she would be it.

TACENDA by Cat Tregillis
Vi’s already rushed plans for her daughter’s wedding are put at risk by the unexpected arrival of her youngest sister, Eileen, who has been left off the invitation list. Middle sister Kitty tries to smooth things over to prevent Eileen from breaking the family tacenda, delving into the things that are best left unsaid.
All females. 40s-50s.
VI - Eldest sister. A typical working class housewife of her era. Generally an anxious type, especially pre-occupied with her only child (Margaret’s) wedding.
KITTY - Middle sister. The capable one in the family. The no-nonsense fixer. Conservative and rather unimaginative.
EILEEN - Youngest sister. Scarred by her life experiences and deeply unhappy. Unconventional. Drinker. Smartest in the family.

UN-TIT-LED, by Julia Lambert
A dramatic, but light-hearted look at how finding a lump in her breast sends a woman into a spiral. A vulnerable exploration of bodies, what they do, and how we talk about them.
WOMAN - over thirty, sharing her experience with the audience. Portrays elements of the other characters described in the text (mainly medical professionals). Funny, endearing and able to guide and hold the audience through the rollercoaster of
emotions. (PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE HAS BEEN PRE-CAST)

WOMEN OF THE WORLD By Emma Wood
Ready to take on the world, three young women in their first share house celebrate their independence before an uninvited guest upsets the party.
ASH - (early 20s) is quick to speak up as a woman and a feminist, however equally quick to hide under the couch when things get tough.
MADDIE - (early 20s) is enthusiastic to begin her life as an independent woman and supportive of her friends.
LUCY - (early 20s) is cautious and realistic but surprisingly level headed in a crisis.

BLACK SPOT by Louise Hopewell
Damian is still getting used to Alexiri, the computer chip he recently had implanted in his
head. When he meets Emma, a woman living an analogue life, Damian begins to question whether Alexiri is really his best mate (as the advertising claims).
DAMIAN - A man in his 20s or 30s. Rule follower.
ALEXIRI - A computer chip implanted in Damian’s head (which Emma can’t hear).
EMMA - A woman in her 20s or 30s. Off the grid, living her own life

LET’S GET PERSONAL by Louise Hopewell
Middle-aged sisters Bec and Kate have very different approaches to exercise and life. While Kate would rather be sitting on the couch eating chocolate, Bec loves their weekly personal training sessions, but maybe that’s just because she’s got her eye on the hot young trainer, Lochie. When Lochie reveals he’s keen on a woman he knows from his second job, Bec decides her middle-aged husband isn’t so boring after all and Kate finds the courage to ditch exercise in favour of fast food.
LOCHIE - a personal trainer in his late 20s.
KATE - a woman in her mid-50s; Bec’s younger sister. Reluctant to exercise but does what she is told by her older sister.
BEC - a married woman in her late-50s; Kate’s older sister and definitely the dominant of the sisters.
