Although the holiday season is a time of celebration, it can be stressful. Our time is frequently consumed with decorating, planning activities, preparing food, shopping, and entertaining others in addition to regular obligations. Despite the influx of company that accompanies the holiday, we can easily become disconnected from ourselves and struggle with difficult emotions such as loneliness, anger, sadness, and grief. It makes sense. When life becomes busy, self-care is thrown out the window.
The true spirit of thankfulness begins with self-gratitude. This session is all about reprioritizing personal wellness.
No experience is needed to participate in this 90 minute group breathing session. There will be a brief check in and setup before the session as well as an integration period at the end.
Our Focus: 1) Decrease blood pressure, 2) Reduce stress and anxiety, 3) Improve mood and sleep, and 4) Improve digestion
Breathwork is conscious, simple breathing that helps us deeply connect with ourselves. Having the ability to strengthen the connection between the body, mind, and soul, breathwork is a tool that can help integrate trauma and improve health. Health improvements may include: decreased levels of anxiety and blood pressure, improved sleep and digestion, increased immunity, energy, and much more.
Breathwork stimulates every faucet of our being physically, mentally, emotionally, and physically that can possibly include: dry mouth, coughing, tingling, vibrations or buzzing, involuntary bodily movements, changes in body temperature, tetany (involuntary curling of hands or feet and jaw tightness), dizziness, nausea, yawning, sleepiness, sexual arousal, and release of emotions (tears, laughter, etc), shifts in consciousness, and reminder of traumatic memories.
It is advised not to be full or hungry. Eat lightly if necessary before a session.
