This year Women's March DC will hold The People's March, a movement theme of communities, grassroots coalitions and unity as a post election inaugural response to uplift the movements, and build power to join with millions together across the country.
Locally Women's March Chico, People's March Chico, We Are Worth Fighting For Chico Area, groups, coalitions, and community members will come together in solidarity and support with the national movements election response for the People's March in Chico. We will gather at the Chico City Plaza to join for a grassroots downtown area march, following after at Chico Women's Club with food, indoor rally with speakers, tabling, resources and more to uplift and connect communities on January 18th and beyond.
We will honor and uplift MLK Weekend and the life and legacies of the Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr., Coretta Scott King, and Civil Rights legacies, the local movements for MLK Unity and Beloved Community, and MLK Day on January 20th, 2025. #MLKDay2025

We all march for different reasons, but we march for the same cause: to defend our rights and our future.
If you believe that decisions about your body should remain yours, that books belong in libraries, not on bonfires, that healthcare is a right, not a privilege for the wealthy; if you believe in the power of free speech and protest to sustain democracy; or if you want an economy that works for the people who power it—then this march is for you.
The People’s March is about one thing: our power.
It’s a bold demonstration of the resilience of resistance:
We march to unite the people who’ve been the backbone of resistance for generations—and to welcome even more
We march to remind civil servants they answer to us
We march to inspire, energize, and drive change long after the day is done.
