The Warehouse Presents the Karaoke Crown Contest!We will again crown a new Karaoke King or Queen.
This is an 9-week contest. The winner gets $750 and a Recording Studio Time @ the new Sugar Dog Records Studio in Leesburg. Second prize gets $300, and 3rd prize gets a $100 Warehouse Gift Certificate. Contests will be held every Thursday, till the contest ends. Practice will be on Tuesdays. We listened, so we have updated the rules for more chances to win. Meet our new Manager Jess Johnson.
(*No contest on Thursday, September 19th. We will be hosting a Bike Blessing for the Christian Motorcycle Association)
(No entry fee required, open to anyone currently not under a recording contract. Must 16 or older to participate.)
QUALIFICATIONS START ON SEPTEMBER 5TH.
We will narrow it down to the top 20 vote getters!
Start time on the 5th., will be 6pm. Going forward the contest will start promptly @ 7pm!
The voting is based solely on audience participation!
Each week every person in the audience will receive (1) ballot and ticket authorizing them to vote. Write your name on the ticket, because it will be entered for a drawing that night for a $20 Warehouse Gift Certificate when you vote. You must be at least 18 years old to vote.
Each week we will eliminate 2 contestants by the vote of the people till we are down to the final 2 contestants, so bring your friends and family to help you get votes. Each week on the Karaoke Crown of Leesburg page we will announce the next week’s genre of music contestants will use to choose their song for the upcoming week.
Two Updated rules:
1) Votes are now cumulative. Meaning votes will be totaled each week and added to your prior week’s vote totals. Eliminations will be based on total votes accumulated, not the one on any single day. The advantage of this, you will no longer be eliminated for not attending a contest night. If your vote count is still higher than the 2 contestants with the lower votes, you will remain in the contest. (This is a huge difference)
2) You will no longer be eliminated for showing up to the contest late. However, after 30 minutes, you will have 10 votes deducted from your overall vote count. Showing up late is still better than not showing at all.
