About the exhibition: "People, Please." is comprised of 41 mixed media and photography pieces intertwined with music of various genres. As a black neurodivergent artist, Anthony finds solace and expression through hip-hop music, particularly elements of sampling , jazz, soul, and graffiti. He discovered his blackness in a whitewashed community through hip-hop but protected himself with headphones, his locs, his camera, his sketchbook, and cans of spray paint. Despite the chaos of his environment, Anthony’s art encourages young black men to express themselves freely and find their voices wherever they exist.
