Honoured to have been asked by Coleg Cambria, to join their 'People Library' as a guest speaker on Wednesday 5th November, 10am-3pm within their Deeside site.Coleg Cambria's People Library will bring together people from different communities, identities and characteristics; allowing learners to ask questions and learn from their experiences. The idea is to promote respect and understanding through conversations and stories.
Coleg Cambria invite students to come around and talk to the guest speakers on a one-to-one basis. We will share stories about our experiences, but also to answer their questions.
Giving students that opportunity to ask questions, knowing that it’s unfiltered is fantastic! It puts an emphasis on inclusion, by encouraging students to ask those questions which are usually avoided by the general public.
This is exactly what is needed to help combat ableism. I've always been a big supporter for education and disability, and this event promotes this. It’s a privilege to be involved! 💜
