About this Event
Join us as we kick off Boston Redline 87 (BRL87) with a powerful call to action on the 56th Anniversary of People Before Highways Day.
In 1969, Boston residents came together to stop the construction of I-95 and I-695, saving neighborhoods from destruction. That historic victory reminds us of the power of community action.
This year’s BRL87 theme, Development Without Displacement, builds on that legacy as we rally to stop displacement caused by current rezoning efforts in Boston. Together, we’ll demand stability and equity to protect our communities and close the wealth gap.
What to Expect:
- A commemoration of the People Before Highways movement.
- Inspiring speakers and community leaders sharing how we can take action today.
- A collective rally to show elected officials that displacement is not an option.
Let’s honor Boston’s history of resilience and fight for a future where all communities can thrive.
Reserve your spot today and be part of the movement!
