In September 1956, a sister church of the Evangelist Temple House of Refuge For All Nations Church of God In Christ was founded by Bishop Daniel M. Jordan. In 1958, the name was changed to the Pentecostal Church of God In Christ, Miracle Revival Fellowship.
From 1956 to 1965, a rented storefront building that was located at 1200 East 12th Street (12th and Forest), Kansas City, Missouri, was the first home of the Pentecostal Church of God In Christ.
In May 1965, our church purchased a building located at 4603 East Linwood Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri. The Pentecostal Church of God In Christ remained at that location until June 30, 1983. In June 1983, we moved to 800 East Meyer Boulevard in Kansas City. The glorious occasion was highlighted by a motorcade from our old location and ended with a ribbon cutting ceremony at our new location. In November 2012, we took occupancy of our present location at 6300 Swope Parkway in Kansas City, Missouri.
The first charter member of the Pentecostal Church of God In Chirst was our Pastor's late wife, Mother Mary M. Jordan. She worked by his side until the Lord called her home from labor to reward on July 30, 1979.
The names of other staunch supporters of this ministry who have gone on to be with the Lord are memorialized on two plaques displayed in the corridor at the main corridor to the church.
Prominent among our accomplishments are the following: the establishment of the Pentecostal School of Christianity, a weekly radio broadcast, a jail/prison ministry, a food pantry, and hospital/nursing home ministry. Also, we have several sister churches under the Bishopric of our Pastor.
At this particular time of our Church's 66th Anniversary Observance, we give the Lord special praise for all that He has done for us in the past and for what we are expecting Him to do for us in our future.
