We are delighted to welcome back Pennyless to the Old Town Hall with Harry Li as support act. With Penny Stevens on violin and Les Woods playing guitar, Pennyless form a distinctive and powerful sound as they range through the world of original and roots folk/world music. After 12 years and with 6 albums released as a four piece band, Penny and Les are heading back out into the world as a duo; expect a varied mix of up-tempo instrumentals and fanciful songs: high energy and fun!
Harry Li is a singer-songwriter whose music draws on folk music traditions from around the British Isles. As well as performing traditional songs, including ‘Child Ballads’ and songs from the 20th Century, he writes his own original songs which have been inspired by folk music past and present. He is particularly influenced by the music and singing of Nic Jones, Jim Moray and Anne Briggs.
Our licensed bar will be open and all proceeds go towards Bourne Town Hall Restoration Project.
