Get ready to shake up our little neighborhood with the very first Penny Rock Mixer! 🎈 It's not just a block party; it's a historic extravaganza, brought to you by our fabulous neighbors (yes, that includes YOU!) and some very special guests.
What’s on the menu? DJ beats to wiggle your toes to, games that might just make you the reigning champ of Penny Rock, lip-smacking food to fuel your grooves, and beer to cheer our soon-to-be legendary get-together. 🍻 Plus, this is a family affair—bring your kids for some fun-filled activities made just for them!
We’re still twisting the city’s arm for permission, but our party spirits are already sky-high! ✨ So mark your calendars, bring your best dance moves, and prepare for a day where we make memories that'll stick longer than that BBQ sauce on your favorite party shirt.
Let’s mix, mingle, and make some noise for our first-ever block party! Be there or be square!'
BLOCK PARTY RULES:
- Potluck Contribution: The party is potluck style, so each household must bring one dish to share. This can be a main course, side dish, or dessert. Please coordinate with neighbors to avoid duplicates.
- Free of Charge: The party is free to attend for all, with one exception:
- Beer-Drinkers: Beer drinkers are asked to chip in $5 for an "honor bar," or to bring their own beer (BYOB). The specific arrangement will be finalized after city approval.
- Badges: All attendees must wear a badge, which can be picked up at the entrance. This helps ensure everyone belongs to the community and is there to enjoy the festivities.
- RSVP: To help with planning, please confirm the number of people attending from your household. This allows us to manage space, seating, and food efficiently.
- Kids and Pets: Kids and friendly pets are welcome to attend. Please supervise both to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
- Outdoor Games: If you have an outdoor game or activity to share, please bring it along. This helps create a lively atmosphere and provides entertainment for all ages.
- Restrooms: No portable toilets will be provided. Please use the restroom facilities in your own home, or make alternative arrangements. This helps maintain sanitation standards.
- Alcohol Consumption: Drink responsibly. If you choose to consume alcohol, do so in moderation. Remember that underage drinking is prohibited.
- Fire Safety: Do not light open flames, such as bonfires or grills, in unapproved areas. If a grill is used, ensure it's attended at all times and extinguished properly after use.
- Supervision: Parents and guardians must supervise children and pets at all times. This ensures everyone's safety and prevents accidents.
- First Aid: A first aid kit will be available at the entrance or a designated station. In case of injury or medical emergency, contact an organizer or emergency services immediately.
- Traffic Safety: Be aware of cars and bicycles. Look both ways before crossing streets, and remind children to do the same. If necessary, consider closing off the street or having designated crossing areas.
