Join us online with Amber Wiewel, the Pennsylvania State Atlas Coordinator, as she introduces participants to the third Pennsylvania Bird Atlas, designed to document breeding and wintering bird species across the Commonwealth. Launched on January 1, 2024, this five-year project will provide invaluable data that will be used to identify changes in diversity and population numbers and to prioritize conservation needs for bird protection. Volunteers are critical to this project’s success! Learn how to be part of the Bird Atlas, code observations, and submit data. Even a few submissions are helpful if you don’t have a lot of time to commit.
