We are excited to announce our Charity Event, Pennies for Pounds, supporting Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. Mark your calendars for December 6, 2025
Weigh-ins begin at 9am
Lifting begins at 10am
- Powerlifting style rules
- Lifter will have 3 attempts at 3 lifts. Squat, bench, and deadlift. Total will be taken from the best of the 3 lifts attempted at each lift.
- Lifter's goal is to raise money by gaining “ pledges” from gym members, family, etc. Pledges will fill out the provided sheet with all necessary information. The suggested amount would be one penny for every pound lifted from the total of the best of the 3 attempts of all 3 lifts so a 1500 lbs total would be a $15 pledge.
coaches will meet on an agreed date and time to lift.
- Lifting cards will be provided and will include lifter's name, weight, opening lift weights, and room for 2nd and 3rd attempts.
- Lifts will go from lightest weight on the opening attempt to the heaviest. After all three attempts on the first lift are complete we will have a five min break before moving to the next lift.
- After all attempts of all lifts are complete we will tally totals.
- Collection of the pledges will happen the Monday following the lift.
- Lifters will be responsible for collecting donations from any friends, family members, coworkers. etc.
- Donations are due the Friday after the lift event.
