In this workshop, we’ll learn the basic techniques of breaking, cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing damaged ceramic tableware under the guidance of an experienced instructor. This eco-friendly studio class will use antique, vintage, repurposed, and recovered ceramic dishware to create a minimal waste environment. Together, we’ll discuss the value of repurposing materials while exploring the creative possibilities of this exciting medium! We will provide supplies for each student to create two pendants which will be suitable to hang as an ornament or on a necklace. All materials are provided, though students may bring their own broken or found dish with a favorite pattern to use. All students must sign a liability waiver to be turned in at the start of the program. Additional copies will be provided on-site.
