Among the many symptoms an individual with Parkinson's may experience, the non-motor ones are often less familiar or easily understood. Isses with bowel and bladder control, and sexual dysfunction can occur, potentially having a significant impact on your quality of life. In this in-person education event, Deborah Jones, PT, DPT, with Providence Rehab, will provide a review of pelvic anatomy and lead a discussion about the common problems individuals with Parkinson's may experience with bowel and bladder function. Deborah will also explain how medications, age, and movement can all affect pelvic health and what inverventions are available.
Deborah Jones is a doctor of physical therapy, and a board certified clinical specialist in geriatrics with a certification in pelvic health. She treats men, women and children for bowel, bladder and sexual dysfunction.
Deborah has worked with people with Parkinson’s disease for pelvic health issues, as well as balance and movement strategies.
She has been working in this capacity for over 30 years and has a wealth of experience!
