Do you know the difference between your pelvis and pelvic floor? Are you familiar with your “true” core muscles? Join Dr. Hannah Strom, pelvic floor physical therapist, yoga instructor, and owner of Awake Pelvic Health & Wellness for an educational and experiential workshop all about your pelvic floor and core. This workshop will begin with an educational discovery of the anatomy of your pelvis, diaphragm, and true core muscles. You will learn how to connect to your pelvis and deep core through breathwork and movement. We will discuss what optimal core and pelvic floor function is, as well as common issues with this area of the body, including chronic pelvic pain, hip and low back issues, hip pain, urinary leaking, and tailbone pain. There will also be an opportunity for questions and answers.
You will be guided through a mindful yoga flow practice integrating poses and breathing techniques that help you find greater connection with your deep core and pelvic floor. This workshop will leave you with greater knowledge that you can put to use both on your mat and in your everyday life!
