About this Event

Join us on our annual hīkoi in Te Waonui a Tiriwa (the Waitākere Ranges). Your hosts will be expert of the ngāhere (forest) ranger Riki Bennett (Ngāti Pikiao, Te Arawa, Ngāti Porou) and Sophie Barclay, bat educator. Listen and relax as we talk about pekapeka, pūrakau and the ngahere - while being soothed by taonga pūoro (traditional māori musical instruments).

What to bring:

Closed-toed shoes, long pants (mosquitoes!), a torch or head torch.
