About this Event
Celebrating the ART ADDICT herself, Peggy Guggenheim!
Enjoy an in-person experience combining art history with performance art, as we celebrate one of the greatest and notorious figures in modern art.
************************************************
Perhaps the most notorious patron and collector in the history of modern art with a voracious appetite for not only fine art, but also (ahem....) love-making, Peggy Guggenheim single-handledly created one of the most impressive private art collections of the 20th century, befriending and supporting many artists of her time, like Jackson Pollock, Picasso, Salvador Dali, Kandinsky, Max Ernst, just to just to name a few!
Today, Peggy is time-traveling all the way from her Palazzo in Venice, Italy as she leads us in a storytelling and mini art history session at Norton Simon, sharing with us some stories and scandals of her own, while giving critiques of selected modern artworks in the European gallery.
