About this Event

Life after Cancer facilitate an online peer support group for adults who have finished cancer treatment, to connect, support, listen to each other and share their experience of cancer.

In this peer support discussion-based session, Life after Cancer facilitates meaningful conversations about post-cancer challenges. Each session includes a guiding question to shape the discussion.

For this session, we will talk about navigating your future after cancer.

The guiding question for this session is: What does the next chapter of your life look like, and what goals do you want to set for yourself?

Sessions will start with a group check-in to see how everyone is doing. The group will then pair up in breakout rooms to discuss the guiding question, share their experiences, and talk about what has or hasn’t worked for them. We will conclude with a group peer reflection, allowing participants to share the most valuable insights from the conversation.

Who is this for? This is for anyone who has finished cancer treatment, is looking to increase their mental wellbeing and meet others who have also experienced cancer.

The aim: The aim is to increase physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing and reduce isolation. The support members receive reduces the risk of serious mental distress and helps to build a positive life after their cancer experience.

Our facilitator: Groups are facilitated by trained coaches who have personal experience of cancer.

Spaces are limited: Capacity is limited. Please sign up and you will receive an email with a link to Zoom a few hours before the group starts.
