The Northwest Edvard Grieg Society and the Thalia Symphony join forces to bring you Grieg’s incidental music to Ibsen’s immortal play, reviving the larger-than-life characters and epic story of adventure and misadventure in the realms of the mystical and earthly. The concert will feature Norwegian music specialist Laura Loge performing Solveig’s beloved songs, the Kathi Ploeger and Don Meyers in traditional wedding processional dances, dancer and choreographer Erik Crall in dance interpretations of Peer’s love interests, Ingrid, the Woman in Green, and Antira, and the Northwest Grieg Chamber Chorus to bring us back to piety through their dulcet hymn tones. The songs will be sung in the original Norwegian. Current Covid-19 restrictions will be followed for all performers and audience members.

Featuring:
The Thalia Symphony Orchestra, Joseph White, Artistic Director & Conductor
Laura Loge, soprano
Svend Rønning, Hardanger fiddle
