Pee-wee Herman owns a heavily accessorized bicycle that he treasures, and that his wealthy neighbor Francis Buxton openly covets. While Pee-wee visits a bike shop where Dottie, his friend who has a crush on him, works, Pee-wee’s bicycle is stolen. After confronting Francis and being convinced he had nothing to do with the theft, a desperate Pee-wee heads to a local psychic who tells him he can find the bicycle in the basement of the Alamo. Pee-wee then begins his epic hitch-hiking journey to Texas, running into an escaped convict, a spooky truck driver, a biker gang, and other strange people while trying to reunite with his beloved bike.
