Program Overview
The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program is designed to provide information about neonatal stabilization following resuscitation of a newborn until care can be transferred to the RNICU. The S.T.A.B.L.E. program covers sugar and safe care, temperature, airway, blood pressure, lab work, emotional support, quality improvement and evaluating care provided to sick infants.
Who should attend?
Instruction is designed for healthcare providers including RNs working in mother/baby units, labor & delivery, nursery, post-partum, ER; nurse midwives; LPNs; nursing assistants; physicians: pediatricians, family practice, pediatric and family practice residents; respiratory therapists; and pre-hospital providers.

Contact Hours
This activity will provide 8.0 contact hours. Covenant HealthCare – NCEC is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by Wisconsin Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Pre-Registration Requirements
- Read and bring with you the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program 6th Ed. Learner’s Manual.
- Bring a calculator and a pencil to class!
Program Cost
