Tulip Time and VeloKids team up for Pedals in the Park--bringing Bikes and Blooms to life! We invite families, individuals, and organizations to bring their bicycles and helmets to Kollen Park for a rally and party. Holland Area Arts Council will provide a decorating tent where bikes and helmets can be decorated. (Or feel free to come with your bikes already decorated.) Culture Works will host a photo booth so your family can grab fabulous glamour shots of you and your bikes.
VeloKids will run a balance bike course for the littles, (ages 2-4) and offer a bike loaner library for those who need bikes for the event. Finally, we'll hold a runway show for all the decorated bikes and prizes in categories like Most Creative, Most Outrageous, and Most Tulip Time-y. WoodTV's Maranda will be the judge for the decorating contest.
During the party, we'll have a forging demonstration by sculpture artist Kathy Kreager, Dutch Dance performances, a DJ providing music, and tasty treats.
