Register here: https://muskegonadl.bibliocommons.com/events/6876b510639e1e9694a13d6aJoin us for a leisurely 7 mile bicycle ride along Muskegon Lake and learn about its environmental restoration through decades of work. The ride will begin at the Lakeshore Museum, head west on the Lakeshore Trail to Lakeside Emporium, then return. Along the way, historians from the Muskegon Museum of History and Science, water quality experts from Freshwater Future, and local anglers will speak about the lake's history and changes, leading to removing Muskegon Lake from a list of the most toxic places in the Great Lakes, called "Areas of Concern." We'll enjoy refreshments and conversation along the way. Registration required, space limited.
This program is the second in a series of three in partnership with Hackley and White Lake Libraries, as well as WGVU, called "Shared Waters." More information on the series can be found at wgvu.org/community-conversation.
