Join us for PECO Free First Sunday Family Day: Anniversary, a day of family-friendly fun, creativity, and celebration at the Barnes.This month's program marks multiple milestones—from the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States to the 15th anniversary of Philadelphia's own The Lady Hoofers. Enjoy free admission to the Barnes collection and our current exhibitions, along with hands-on activities and performances for all ages.
✨ Schedule of the day:
🎨 10am–4pm | Art Activities
Create art with teaching artists from Fleisher Art Memorial's ColorWheels and participate in a gallery scavenger hunt challenge.
📚 10:30–11am & 11:15–11:45am | Storytime
Interactive storytime with Thembi Palmer of Imagine More Story Adventures.
👞 1pm & 2:30pm | Performances by the Lady Hoofers Tap Ensemble
Led by artistic director Tamera Dallam and managing director Katie Budris, the ensemble centers the work of women in tap through performance, education, and community outreach. Enjoy special performances and join in rhythm games designed for the young and young-at-heart.
Admission also includes access to "Freedom Dreams" and "Sky Hopinka: Red Metal Dust".
