The vibrant voices of Peckham come to life in the form of colourful letterpress prints, in a unique celebration of community spirit through Peckham Perspective – an exhibition created by Michelle Dwyer of studio, Peckham.
Peckham Perspective highlights the diverse voices that make up our neighbourhood. Through conversations held during community days at local charities and organizations, interviews with small business owners, and others who spend their days on Rye Lane, plus questionnaires circulated on social media — Michelle has curated hundreds of statements illustrating how people think and feel about their community. Phrases, thoughts and stories about Peckham were selected and letterpress printed by hand onto colourful gradients, offering a kaleidoscope of perspectives that reflect the beating heart of Peckham.
All posters will be for sale and 50% of the profits generated from the exhibition will be donated to ; a local charity celebrating 35 years of fighting poverty in Southwark.
Peckham Perspective is an immersive transformation of the ; the walls and floor are covered in a tapestry of vivid gradients and bold typography; colours bleed and clash, creating an electrifying experience of the space.
The beauty of this project is in its inclusivity and there’s still time to be a part of this collective narrative. Visit and share your thoughts on Peckham.
