This year’s event theme will be "Land Meets Sea". Broome; where sunbaked pindan land meets the glorious cerulean sea. A place where natural elements envelop and harmonise with each other, creating striking, otherworldly beauty. The culinary endeavours of our competing chefs will balance the best that the local land and sea has to offer, creating a tasting experience that celebrates the exquisite flavour of pearl meat - an iconic local cuisine. The Pearl Meat Cook Off is an opportunity for local talent to showcase the incredible flavours that surround us in abundance and demonstrate - through food - the complex yet delightful relationship between the land and sea.
