Whilst the crowds disappear through the mud to Thor's cave we head down to the crystal clear River Manifold, before heading up onto hill tops with vistas all around. The day is spent up high and we bag a couple of quiet Ethels in the afternoon. We have a couple of stops in quaint villages, one has a café. Finishing up in Wetton we can celebrate with a pint at the pub.
