Don’t miss this rare opportunity to celebrate the life and work of Flannery O’Connor in one unforgettable evening!Join us for a special evening at the Tybee Post Theater as we present Flannery, an award-winning documentary that explores the life and work of the iconic Southern Gothic writer, Flannery O'Connor. Winner of the first-ever Library of Congress / Lavine / Ken Burns Prize for Film, Flannery takes an intimate look at O'Connor's life, with her family home at Andalusia in Milledgeville, Georgia, serving as the backdrop. Through never-before-seen archival footage, personal letters, and O’Connor's own words, the film captures the essence of a writer whose starkly redemptive style continues to inspire artists and activists alike. Featuring insights from Mary Karr, Tommy Lee Jones, Hilton Als, and more, and narrated by Mary Steenburgen, this is a film no literary fan should miss.
