You’re invited to The Peaceful Tangles Retreat for Zentangle® artists. Our in-person gathering meets on Tuesday, May 20 and Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in beautiful Morgan Hill, California.Registration is open and will proceed on a first-come, first-served basis.
RETREAT PROGRAM: We’re looking forward to welcoming Zentangle artists to this 2-day tangling event! The retreat is open to Zentangle artists, CZTs and anyone who has had an Introduction to Zentangle class with a Certified Zentangle Teacher. Tangling in community, learning new techniques, playing with art supplies, gathering with Zentangle artists and making new friends is the essence of The Peaceful Tangles Retreat. The event program runs from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on both Tuesday, May 20 and Wednesday, May 21, 2025
RETREAT TEACHERS: The Certified Zentangle Teachers who will be teaching at the 2025 retreat are Angie Gittles, Sandy Kelley-Jones, Maria Pahos-Benson, Andi Varon, and Nancy Domnauer. We’ve planned inspiring Zentangle lessons on an array of tiles using beautiful tangling techniques and tools.
RETREAT THEME: The theme of this retreat is Celebrate! We will be celebrating being together as a group of Zentangle enthusiasts! We’re looking for good vibes and happy tanglers to participate in this event. The Certified Zentangle Teacher presenters have planned inspiring Zentangle lessons and you will enjoy 5 Zentangle art workshops, soothing meditations, lively group activities and surprises at the retreat!
REGISTRATION FEE: The registration fee for the retreat is $399. This fee covers all instruction, class supplies, event materials and surprises. $50 of this fee is non-refundable (see refund policy).
REFUND POLICY: If a student is unable to attend, we ask that they notify us as soon as possible. If we’re able to fill your space with someone from our waitlist, you will be refunded your registration fee less a $50 processing fee. If we are unable to fill your space, a refund cannot be provided. However, we will send you a video recording of the classes as well as the kit of supplies within 2 weeks after the event’s conclusion.
REGISTRATION PROCESS: The event registration process will proceed on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you pay on the TicketSpice website, your registration will be complete and you will receive an email confirmation of your enrollment. Thank you!

THINGS TO BRING: We will provide the supplies for all of the classes. Here are a few things to bring: • Small set of your favorite tangling tools • Water bottle with a secure lid • Portable, battery-operated Ott-Lite folding desk lamp (optional)
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS: For participants traveling to Morgan Hill, a set of discounted hotel rooms at La Quinta Inn Morgan Hill has been set aside for our attendees. Attendees will make their own reservations. For more information, please email: [email protected]
LUNCH RECESS: You’re welcome to bring your own lunch on either or both days. There is a catering kitchen on-site with available refrigerators. On Tuesday, we’ll have a catered box lunch option, available for purchase at an additional fee of approximately $20. Information on purchasing the catered lunch option will be sent in March. On Wednesday, a longer lunch recess will allow participants to dine at an array of delicious restaurants in quaint, downtown Morgan Hill. Restaurants are a 5-minute walk from our meeting venue of The Community and Cultural Center. A list of favorite restaurants will be sent to attendees in March. On Wednesday, a catered box lunch option will be available for those that prefer to stay on campus.
COMMUNICATING WITH ATTENDEES: We believe that clear communications with attendees supports a successful event. With that in mind, we will be sending special retreat newsletters to attendees. A private page for attendees of The Peaceful Tangles Retreat is on the website: www.LineDotCalm.com. You will receive the password to the private page when you register.
MEETING OPTIONS: If the event is unable to meet in-person due to County of Santa Clara restrictions we would host the event online on the scheduled dates. We would ship the supply kits to be received by participants before the event meets online. There will be no refunds on the registration fee if the event must be moved to an online event.
