Peace Out(doors) offers an opportunity to pause and reflect in an outdoor setting. It is a short gathering that includes centering, sacred readings, and discussion, and reminds us of our connection to the earth and one another. It's an opportunity to prepare for the week to come in a life-giving manner, and to do so in a safe space.Peace Out(doors) is kid-friendly, pet-friendly, and informal. Following our gathering, you can enjoy time walking around the island, playing mini golf, visiting the playground, or socializing at a nearby restaurant.
If you’d like to join us, please bring a camp chair (or similar).
We meet on City Island, in the grove of trees near the carousel and train depot (intersection of Station Rd & Riverside Dr). Park in the north lot, head toward the ballpark, and turn left to reach our gathering spot. If you'd like to avoid the walk, there are a few parking places adjacent to the carousel.
If rain threatens, we meet in the nearby train station waiting area, which is covered.
Note that this event is also advertised via our meetup.com group and mailing list, so there will likely be folks in attendance from those channels as well.
