A common man. An extraordinary soul. The Himalayan Saint: His Holiness Shree Shivkrupanand Swami “What is Universal Consciousness?” “How to experience Universal Consciousness?” “When I have experienced Universal Consciousness, I too will share with others how to experience it,” Swamiji said to his grandmother.

These were the questions and conviction that was present in young Swamiji. Swamiji continued his search for this experience over his younger days while completing his Master’s in Commerce and serving as a Marketing Manager in an organisation.

During this period, an amazing incident took place and became a turning point in his life. Guided by unknown forces, he went to Nepal and met Shivbaba, an aging ascetic who accepted Swamiji as his disciple. Shivbaba passed on the total spiritual knowledge that he had gained in his lifetime to Swamiji in a meditative state and left for his heavenly abode. Swamiji carried on with his life, got married and had a child after this incident. Another turning point then came for him when a saint came into his life one day. He told Swamiji that he was born for a different purpose and that he would be instrumental in changing the course of humanity.

Leaving everything behind, Swamiji went to the Himalayas. Swamiji meditated with various gurus, kaivalya kumbak yogis, Buddhist monks and saints in the Himalayas. This enhanced his own spiritual evolution and knowledge.

Finally, he had the experience that Universal Consciousness is within oneself as a soul. He realised that he was born only to give this experience to humankind and encourage them to lead a soul-led life. What he promised his grandmother was about to be realised. “After connecting with Universal Consciousness, after attaining that experience, the realisation of man’s body is removed and man becomes a soul. And this can only be possible through self-realisation (experience of the soul). Because only through self-realisation, man will first realise that he is not a body, but a soul.”

His Holiness Shree Shivkrupanand Swami Today, Swamiji has touched the lives of millions of people from all walks of life. He has shared the values and teachings of Himalayan Meditation in India, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Australia, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the United States and more over the last 20 over years. In 2019, he was also felicitated as the tourism ambassador of Nepal for his spiritual contribution to the nation.
