Audition information for Pickerington Community Theatre’s fall production of “Clue: On Stage" (unpaid, non-union).ABOUT THE SHOW:
Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by Wadsworth – the butler, Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!
Friday and Saturday auditions will be held at Epiphany Lutheran Church located at 268 Hill Road N, Pickerington, OH 43147.
If callbacks are needed, they will be held Sunday at Epiphany Lutheran Church.
Character descriptions and the audition sheet will be available closer to auditions for download at pctshows.com. While the show is set in 1954, individuals of all races, sexes, and identities are encouraged to audition.
Please choose one of the following audition dates:
Friday, July 25th 7:00pm – 10:00pm
Saturday, July 26th 10:00a.m. - 1:00p.m.
Sunday, July 27th 2:00p.m. - 5p.m. for callbacks as needed
Auditions are open to actors 18 years old and older.
Performance Dates at the Violet Township Community Theater at the Wigwam Event Center:
October 10 - October 19
The production will be directed by Coreen Janetzke
THE AUDITION PROCESS:
You will be asked to fill out an audition form. You may attach a resume and picture if you wish (it is not required). Please bring a calendar that includes conflicts.
You will have your picture taken and a number will be assigned to you.
Auditions: Auditions will consist of a cold reading from the script.
The final cast list will be sent via email by Wednesday night, July 30th and posted on our website.
REHEARSALS
Rehearsals will be held Friday evenings, Saturday mornings, and Sunday afternoons. ALL cast members MUST attend the first rehearsal to receive your materials, take costume measurements, and complete any paperwork.
Tech Week (Sunday through Thursday before Opening Night) will include weeknight rehearsals.
