This is an epic point-to-point run: start at the southern terminus of the PCT, right at the US/Mexico border, and run 20 miles on the PCT all the way to Lake Morena. It is beautiful, rugged, and remote, but SO worth it! We've hired a bus that will pick us up at Lake Morena and drive us to the start of the PCT. The cost will be $30 per person and the bus can carry 38 people. We ran this last year and had 35 people! I will arrange for an aid station at mile 15 since it could still be warm at this time of year.<edit: as="" of="" the="" bus="" is="" sold="" out="" so="" i="" removing="" my="" venmo.="" please="" dm="" me="" if="" you="" like="" to="" be="" added="" waitlist.="">
Some logistics: Parking at Lake Morena costs $5/vehicle which is not covered by the bus fee. Be prepared to pay that to the park rangers when you arrive. The bus will be leaving promptly at 6:30AM so make sure to get there ahead of time to pay for parking, get ready, and get on the bus.
The route will not be marked but it's easy enough to follow the PCT. I will share the route and GPX in a little bit...
Giddy up!</edit:>
