Staying Connected: Handling Screen Times with Partnership Rather Than PowerIn this workshop, we will sift through our fears and beliefs about screens, debunk some myths, and explore peaceful parenting practices to help stay C.O.N.N.E.C.T.E.D. to your children: Connection, Observation, Neutrality, Needs, Engagement, Control of Yourself & Environment, Teamwork, Empowerment, and Dynamic Relationship. If you’re experiencing anxiety and power struggles over screens, this workshop is for you!

Iris Chen is a recovering tiger parent, certified parenting coach, and founder of the Untigering movement. When her authoritarian attempts to raise obedient and high-achieving children only led to years of tears, tantrums, and conflict, she knew something had to change… and it wasn’t her children. Through her writing and speaking, she now shares her reflections on how to shift from parenting that is rooted in power to parenting that is grounded in partnership.
