About this Event
*This event is open to NYU Students, Staff, and Faculty only.
Interested in DIY jewelry making? Join TAs Lemons and Florentina to design your own PCB jewelry! Contrary to popular belief, PCBs are great for more than just soldering electrical components. These copper-clad boards can serve as the perfect necklace or pendant for a loved one or even for yourself! In this workshop, we will cover the basics of PCB design and how to implement these tools to create personalized jewelry. Participants will receive an introduction to the Othermill and learn how to design charms & engravings using Adobe Illustrator.
If you would like to follow along or develop your own design, you must have Adobe Illustrator installed. To install, please download a free trial here: https://www.adobe.com/products/illustrator/free-trial-download.html
*This workshop is open to all current NYU student, staff, and faculty and will take place in-person at the NYU MakerSpace located in the Tandon School of Engineering on the downtown Brooklyn campus.*
