There are limited tickets available, so please go to Try Booking, and book your tickets as well as a cheese plate to enjoy. Cocktails and mocktails will be available at the bar for purchase. The art works are in the Paynesque style, reflecting the wonderful artistic talents of Payne Showers, an artist who vanished in an avalanche in the Alps. His story will be brought to life in the play, “Artifice” by Anne Flanagan. Performances are scheduled for 1, 2, 7 and 8 of June. The performance on the 2nd is a matinee for those patrons who prefer to go out during the day rather than attend an evening show.
During the Art Show, we are planning some surprises. Watch out for ‘characters’ from “Artifice” who may drop in to meet future audience members. The art works displayed, will be available for purchase through a silent auction. Donations will also be welcomed. At the end of the performance season the highest bids will be calculated, and the bidders contacted to purchase their winning painting.
Money raised from this event will contribute toward a building project. The Committee is planning a covered patio outside the sliding doors in the foyer. In addition, there would be a covered walkway to the toilets. This would increase the area for audience members to gather and provide much needed shelter for patrons to get to the toilets, especially during performances. This walkway would allow access for wheelchairs. This is a long term project and excites the efforts of Committee members in fundraising and writing grant applications.
Our success will greatly enhance the environment of the Theatre.
