PauseAI Chicago: Weekly Action Meeting!

PauseAI is a global grassroots movement to stop the development of dangerous, human-level Artificial Intelligence until we know how to make it safe. https://pauseai.info/

We aim to convince our elected leaders to: (1) take the threat of advanced AI seriously, (2) support policies to mitigate AI risk, and (3) call for a global moratorium on cutting-edge AI development.

PauseAI Chicago will:

• Hold regular meetings and educational events on AI danger and how to address it.
• Have phone calls, letters, and public comments to Congressional offices on AI risk.
• Write to newspapers and use social media to spread awareness of AI risk.
• Build a coalition of community groups, public officials, and others supporting an AI Pause.
• Meet with members of Congress to discuss the dangers of AI.
