💛 A gentle note for our puppy families 💛We wanted to share a little more about an upcoming enrichment experience you may see mentioned — Puppy Yoga — and offer clarity and reassurance.
Only a very small, carefully selected group of puppies will participate. These are puppies who are already showing specific personality traits we look for in future therapy and assistant dogs — calm confidence, people-awareness, emotional regulation, and ease in new environments.
This is not a social event for all puppies, and it is not a meet-and-greet.
Puppy Yoga is designed as a short, highly supervised socialization exercise led by experienced adults in a controlled, quiet environment. Puppies are never forced to interact, never overstimulated, and always monitored closely. Sessions are brief, age-appropriate, and centered on the puppies’ wellbeing first.
Your puppy’s health, safety, and emotional development are our top priorities — always.
Not every puppy benefits from this type of experience, and that’s completely okay. Each puppy receives the socialization that best suits their temperament and developmental stage. Puppies not participating are continuing with other forms of enrichment and bonding here at home.
To avoid confusion:
• This does not replace pickup-day bonding
• Families will not be meeting their puppies early, this not a pick your puppy event
• Participation (or non-participation) has no impact on placement, value, or matching
• No puppy is ever exposed to anything that puts them at risk
•This is being held by a third-party wellness group so I cannot give complementary participation.
Our goal is simple: to thoughtfully support puppies who may one day serve others — while honoring that every puppy is an individual with unique needs.
As always, thank you for your trust. These babies are deeply loved, carefully guided, and never used for anything that doesn’t serve their best interest. 🤍🐾
