Lexington was preparing for battle long before British soldiers arrived on April 19th, 1775. Paul Revere and William Dawes, fellow Sons of Liberty, rode hard from Boston, arriving in town just before midnight. Their destination: The home of Reverend Clarke. Their mission: To warn Patriot leaders John Hancock and Samuel Adams of the impending British raid.Start your Patriots’ Day early as they arrive and raise the alarm in Lexington! Join us for a live reenactment, complete with real horses!
Please note that Hancock Street will be shut down ahead of this event and parking is not available on site. Parking in Lexington Center or at the lot behind the Lexington Depot at 13 Depot Square is highly recommended.
