On Sunday, November 9 at 6 PM, the Gap Theatre dives into the shadows with a rare 35mm Double Feature starring Paul Newman as Lew Harper, the sharp-tongued private eye with a taste for trouble.First up, HARPER (1966) — the film that launched Newman into the world of modern noir. Slick, cynical, and endlessly stylish, it’s a hardboiled mystery packed with double-crosses, Hollywood decadence, and a lead performance as cool as a dry martini.
Then, nearly a decade later, Harper resurfaces in THE DROWNING POOL (1975). This time, the setting shifts from sunny California to the sultry swamps of Louisiana, where secrets run deep, alliances drown fast, and the danger feels deadlier than ever.
Don’t miss this chance to see Newman’s iconic detective back-to-back on the big screen — two films, one night, all in 35mm.
Tickets are $15.00 per person.
Showtime at 6pm
Doors open 30 minutes before showtime.
