WE ARE EXPANDING TO WISCONSIN!
The Laughing Academy is delighted to announce a series of pop-up shows in the Lake Geneva area ~ kicking off with our old pal Paul Farahvar taking over the beautiful location in downtown Delavan!
A performance space, bar, coffeshop, and events venue, Boxed & Burlap offers a cafe menu of sandwiches, wraps, salads and pizza available until 8:30PM. Make a night of it and enjoy the show!

- ABOUT THE LINEUP
Known for his dry, quick-witted humor, headliner PAUL FARAHVAR delights audiences with his unique insights centered on being an aging bachelor and former lawyer of Middle-Eastern descent.
One of The Chicago Reader's "Top 40 Up and Coming Comedians" in 2017, he was also chosen as runner-up for their Best Stand up Comedian in 2021. After becoming a staple on the Chicago Comedy Scene, he began touring as a feature with heavy hitters like Jen Kirkman, Demetri Martin, and Gary Gulman, and later as a headliner himself - and with no manager or agent built a national following, selling out rooms across the country. His Dry Bar special Always A Groomsman and his special Middle Western, Middle Eastern are currently available for streaming.
Prior to being a comedian, Farahvar was a trial litigator, cited in the industry's "Top 40 under 40". As a touring comedian, he utilizes his platform to raise awareness and donations for the Parkinson’s Foundation, Autism awareness and Suicide Prevention. His podcast Singles Only! won Chicago Reader's Best Podcast in 2021, he was a regular guest host on WGN Radio, and is known for the role of "Karam Haddad" on NBC's Chicago Med. He recently launched the “Why Are You Awake” Podcast to bring attention to creatives and night owls like himself
