Paul’s Open Jam concludes its eighth year on Thursday, November 14. Acoustic country musician Aaron Stevens is the featured performer. Barely Broken is also expected to perform. Otherwise, the stage will be open. It’s generally first-come, first-served with priority given to solo performers and acoustic acts while guests may still be eating dinner. Then groups of musicians and electric performers take the stage.Paul’s Jam is a monthly open stage at The Barn, and is regarded as a Zanesville staple. It is held the second Thursday of each month at 7 pm, as it has with rare exception since January 2017.
Following the November jam, there will be a winter break, with an expected return for a ninth season in March 2025.
Hosted by area musician/promoter Paul Quinn, the open stage offers a diverse collection of performers, including classic rock, metal band, acoustic, folk, and more. Professional audio production services are offered by Co-Lab Productions.
Since its beginning in 2017, Paul’s Jam has grown in its role as an important opportunity to network with other musicians and to gain recognition for musicians and bands.
Musicians may come with a band, or they may be solo. Some of those who turn up solo fall in with other musicians and sometimes magic happens.
