Synopsis:
“The Railway Children” is a classic children’s novel by E. Nesbit, first published in 1906. The story follows the lives of three siblings, Roberta (Bobbie), Peter, and Phyllis, who live a comfortable life in London. Their world is turned upside down when their father is mysteriously taken away, and they are forced to move with their mother to a small house in the countryside near a railway station.
As they adjust to their new life, the children befriend the railway workers and passengers. They embark on various adventures and solve problems, demonstrating bravery, resourcefulness, and kindness. They become particularly close to an old gentleman who regularly travels on the 9:15 train, who eventually helps to solve the mystery of their father’s disappearance.
