Description: The Patriots for Pickleball (PFP) Tournament is being held to raise money for the military veteran’s charity group, Roots for Boots (5013C). Tell Me More: Our tournament will host men’s and women’s doubles brackets, ages 18-70+. Skill brackets include: Beginners 2.5 to 3.0, Intermediate 3.5, and Advanced 4.0 and 4.5+. Our age groups are 18-29, 30-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+. We reserve the right to combine age groups or divisions as needed to provide for expanded play.
When: Our tournament is a one-day event being held on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 with a RAINDATE of Sunday, June 9th, 2024.
Where: The tournament will be held at Amblebrook at 254 Amblebrook Blvd, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Their site can be found one minute off of PA Rte. 15. Total pickleball hard courts – 12.
Cost: $40.00 per player. Both players must register individually. Since this is a charity event, with a rain date, no refunds will be given due to nasty weather or other unavoidable and unforeseen circumstances.

Tournament Details:
We will offer a round robin schedule. That means in pool play you will play each team in your bracket in a game to 15, win by 2. The top four teams will advance to medal match play and those games will be best of 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2. Advancement to the medal round will be based on total points earned in your pool. The first tiebreaker is match wins, second is head to head results, third is point differential within the bracket and last is least points ceded.
We will use the Franklin X40 outdoor ball and abide by USAPA rules.
Prizes for winners – Medals and high fives, fist bumps and salutes!
Check in is 30 minutes prior to your division’s first game. We will contact you the week prior to the tourney for your start time.
There will be game marshals to brief you before each game and to report your final score to. You will be contacted by text, and PA system if need be, prior to each game for your court assignment.
Photo identification will be checked and your age (as of December 31st, 2024) verified before your first game.
No pets are allowed on the premises, no grills; please bring your own chair.
Food trucks and vendors will be available, as well as beverage tables.
Please consider bringing along non-perishable food items to donate to our veteran’s food pantry.
Finally, some of our local veterans will be there to meet and greet you.
