We invite the Worthington community to join together and plant thousands of flags in preparation for our Patriot Day ceremony on September 11th.Flag planting will take place at 4:00 PM on Monday, September 8th.
For the past several years, volunteers have placed 2,977 small American Flags on the Village Green as a reminder to never forget the lives lost on September 11, 2001, to recognize first responders, and to raise awareness of the annual September 11th ceremony on the Village Green.
Thanks to all the volunteers from Worthington Divisions of Police and Fire & EMS, Worthington Parks and Recreation, City Staff, City Council Members, American Legion Leasure-Blackston Post 239, Thomas Worthington High School Track Team, and community volunteers of all ages.
