Why ARE there so many songs about rainbows? Can YOU tell me how to get to Sesame Street? Questions like these are the brain child of Jim Henson – muppet maker, mirth bringer and magical storyteller. Patrick J. Mooney hopes to answer those questions and more on a magic carpet ride through the elaborate and whimsical worlds that Henson created and the music he inspired over the last 60 years. Patrick J. Mooney is a graduate of Washington University and a mathematics teacher at Parkway West High School. His foray into theatre began in high school as a member of the Pekin Noteables Show Choir. He has since been involved in some local theatre productions with Marble Stage (Fiddler on the Roof, Once Upon a Mattress) and has choreographed eleven musicals for Parkway West. He has been singing from the age of 10, and was a 20 year member of the Catholic Student Center Choir, and is currently singing at St. Cronan’s and St. Louis Metro Singers.
