Description: Ready for the ultimate baking challenge? Notoriously tricky French pastry takes years to perfect, so get started with the first session of our new Patisserie series!
What You’ll Learn: We’ll cover a crash course in pastry science, including the importance of specific times, techniques, and temperatures. We’ll make a classic choux dough for Cream Puffs and test a variety of fillings. Then we’ll take on Puff Pastry using some smart shortcuts, which you’ll use to make your own mini Mille Feuille; a gorgeous dessert tower of crisp pastry, cream, and fruit.
NOTICE about cooking classes:
- Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above.
- You will work with other students.
- Hands-on classes are limited to 7 to 10 students.
- You will sit or stand, cooking and working for most of the class.
- Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back.
- No refunds on classes, but feel free to gift a friend or family member.
- Students receive a coupon good for the day of the class for 10% off in-store purchases on all food, beverage, kitchen, and table top products.
- All recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc.
If you have a food allergy, please check with us before registering for a class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made.
