Joe Thielen performs in a handful of bands in the Chippewa Valley, including Yam Cannon, Hey Joe, and the Sliced Bread Jug Band. In addition to these efforts, Thielen also enjoys writing and performing acoustic music on patios, porches, living rooms and dank basements. Joe's original music is an odd combination of Woody Guthrie, The Kinks, The Grateful Dead, The Cure, Boston, and The Velvet Underground, with lyrics sprung from a mind that enjoys meandering through strange spaces.
